After dropping Knuckle and Shoot at NGL, Gon and Killua ride back to town with Spin. Gon stands up and roars: he accepts the defeat but not its meaning — he trusts Knuckle to bring Kite back, and vows to grow stronger so as not to disappoint him. In the palace of East Gorteau, the King eats the brain of a Nen-using soldier; the more he eats, the stronger he becomes.
