Bat and Hollow are certain their combination attack cannot be beaten. Gon faces the dilemma: covering his ears against the sonic attack blinds him to Hollow's blows; not covering them lets him react but lets the noise in. He settles on Gyo to enhance his sight instead. Bat fires another Secret Noise, and as Gon clamps his ears in pain, Hollow's heavy blow comes down — while far away, Neferpitou wonders who is stalling the puppets.
