In a castle storeroom, Gon and Killua reunite with Knov, Knuckle and Shoot. Shoot's floating cage is lowered and opened, and a tiny, hollowed-out Kite walks out slowly — no longer the man he was. Gon says it is all right; they will put him right. Shoot explains the cage only contained what the Ants had already changed. Killua's vow is quiet and exact: Neferpitou, he will face himself.
