The first Hunter the story introduces — a student of Ging Freecss. In chapter one he saves young Gon from a fox bear and tells him his father is alive, the spark that sets Gon on his path to becoming a Hunter. Years later he leads a young hunter survey team around the NGL, and in the final assault on the East Gorteau palace he is killed by Neferpitou; his body is rebuilt into a puppet for training the ants. His obsession carries him into rebirth as a female Chimera Ant whom Colt names Reina; in the 12 Zodiak arc he regains his memories and his self, and pulls a broken Gon back from the edge.
